I can tell you this. With what I saw at TBA yesterday, there will be a lot of pressure on Hart to hire Pearl if Tyndall has to be removed. He made the rounds after the game to shake as many hands of the money people he could. I saw several of the huge money people do more than just a friendly handshake. A lot of fan I sat next to said they hoped UT would re-hire Pearl if Tyndall gets canned. I hope it doesn't come to that. But it will make for an interesting few weeks if that does happen. I was thinking the same thing last night after watching the pregame interviews with Pearl. He knows there is a possibility that Donnie doesn't make it through to see another year and Pearl would no doubt jump at the chance to come to UT again. I would rather he didn't but when it comes to hiring a coach I would rather have Pearl than another jumbled Bama & Booger search.

As a guy in my mid 30's, many nights I decided to pass on some sleep to catch sports center if Stuart Scott was on. Now he didn't bring world peace or change human rights. But he did provide a lot of entertainment and laughs to many sports lovers and inspired others in their fight with cancer. Pretty solid resume in my book.

One home game brings millions into the UT athletic department that is barely about water. Not to mention the amount of spent in Knoxville and surrounding areas. I guess the answer is yes we HAVE to play a 12th game.

I am sure you will see a full selection of wines in grocery stores. Kroger stores have plans in place for where wine will be placed as soon as available. The larger stores will have huge selection, wine tastings, etc. I am sure Publix and others will follow.
Like beer, this will mainly be stocked by vendors. It will be all profit, plus the other items shoppers will buy with their wine. The big money makers will be the distributors supplying to the stores. See how quickly Cherokee distributing picks up wine in Knox area.

well we have now got wine for sale in the grocery stores. We are up now uptown.... It will cost you double and the liqueur stores can now sell bread and pop tarts It will cost you half, not double. You will never have seen as cheap wine prices as you will a year from now.

Right or wrong decision or whatever, I think somewhere you have to show your team that you are going to give them every chance to win. That if they give their all, you will coach the same way. Kicking a FG inside the 5 while trailing by 20 doesn't do much for me, especially when you are a point challenged team.

I don't understand that FG or the play calling there before half. Why send AJ in after a timeout? Bama sees him coming on the field and has time to recognize it and react. And we all know he is going to get the ball. Without a timeout you might can send him in and cause some confusion and get a play. Why take a FG there anyway? Not that a TD turns the game into a win but show your team some balls. Run your 2 best short yardage plays and go for it.

I still think we win only the Vandy game. I like our chances better to get to a bowl with Dobbs though. Sure Butch will find some way to coach us to a loss.

I am far from sure that Butch will get it done, he has shown many flaws in his game management during his first year and half. He has recruited like a mother and got us in with guys we haven't had a chance at in a long time. There is no denying this is a very, very young team playing in a conference that is an NFL junior league.
I think his handling of the QB position and his assistants during the off season and into next season will decide his success next year.
Can this new talent and his coaching get to the 9-10 win level every year? That is all I expect. Seems how Georgia does it. Win 9 or so every year, hope the schedule falls your way every few years and have a chance to win 11. Let the west beat up on each other, get to the top of the east and is puts you in great shape.

Several years ago, I got a flu shot, next day I had the flu. Maybe not the full blow flu, but felt as bad as I can remember. Every year Dr. asks about flu shot. Always tell him no thanks. He says when I get the flu I will wish I had taken it. Told him when I get the flu I will think about taking it that next year.

I know the Oline is to blame for much of this, but I don't really see what Butch's "system" is. Seems like a clustercuss of nothing that works.

I am not so sure it doesn't take stones to pass up the spotlight and big money to stay where you are and have time for your family. You cant beat happy.

If basketball season has started, that means the Cowboy countdown clock on Donnie has started as well. Hope Tyndall realizes this.
