vote Haverkamp Norris City Council
or not. only 5 people running for 5 spots.
choose 5? I think not, I voted for 1
and went Constitutional Party for most all that I could.
they really need to dumb down the language in those amendments, I knew what I was voting for/against before I went in but, dang... felt confused. probably dont matter, Im not sure they even count the votes in Anderson County.

No.
I may but haven't the motivation yet. Nobody I gave a hoot about won any of the primaries.

Good article in the final MetroPulse about the city pensions that are on the ballot. I don't live in the city so I don't vote, but I own property in the city so it affects me.
Mayor Lady has a handful of amendments restricting the city pension options. However, per the article, the thing that is destroying city finances is the AUTOMATIC 3% PER YEAR COST OF LIVING INCREASE to the pension payouts. I don't ever want to hear a city employee fuss about their pay not being enough with this in place. Not only are defined benefit plans going the way of the dinosaur, of the few that are out there hardly any of them have built in automatic COLAs. Knoxville property owners and tax payers continue to get raped by these 8:30-4:30 job holders.
Also the police captains all make about $100,000 each. I'd like to know how many there are and what do they do every day.
Manufacture or get a contract to sell nipples for government tits and you'll be able to live in the most expensive house on any lake around these parts.

Pretty sure there's a state amendment designed to harass abortionists and aborters.

As usual, I procrastinated until voting day but I made it and did the deed.
Hear, hear RND on the wording/legalspeak regarding the amendments.
On most I had to just hit a blank/no vote because I lacked enough background to make an informed decision, and had trouble deciphering the legalese.
I should have been more diligent in my prep.

Agreed about the wording on the amendments. I knew exactly what I wanted to vote for and still had to think about it on a couple. However you folks in Norris do not even have recognition by the postal service, and it wears me out because I have to verify USPS addresses on reports and I have to explain to these people THEY DO NOT HAVE THEM. Coalfield doesn't either, so who am I to talk?

Plus, we'll likely see the grocery stores carrying the jug/convenience wines and not much else. What they can purchase nationally/corporate in bulk quantities at the appropriate cost advantages. Simple free market economics.
