That's UT's opening opponent for 2015. Was scheduled for Nashville. Is there any way to find another game on this short notice?
Related--that's what UT should do with basketball.

Well, there are 12 teams with a need to schedule a game now. I wonder if any have an open date that matches TN's.
I also wonder if they had an offensive lineman worth a damn that could xfer.

They're bowl eligible. Those numb nuts are afraid of having another relevant in state program. Saban likely mandated it.

They lost 17.5 mil last year. I litterally don't know a single person who has ever been to a UAB game. (don't gimme the TN played them shit.....that's going to a TN game) They give tickets away at pretty much any business in the BHM area.

I seriously figured this while seeing all the faux outrage on Twitter like a crime against humanity was being committed. It's like the ETSU football thing. Nobody has ever cared and nobody ever will.

UAB endowment is half of UAT's. UTC's in less than 10% of UTK's. UAB is already methodically passing UAT academically. UAB football is in only their 24th season and they're in a D-1 bowl game. They are shutting it down to protect the brand. They'd do it to South Alabama, Troy, and Auburn as well if they could.

UAB has five players in the NFL. They were playing an SEC team every year. They had plans to build an on-campus stadium.
Located in a bigger, better city.
Saban had Bear, Jr squash it to protect the brand.

This a good time to shit or get off the pot (before they built a new stadium)
Reality is even with all of the money from new TV contracts football is a money loser for most schools, particularly outside of the power 5.
It has boggled my mind here in Georgia seeing new programs at Georgia State & Kennesaw St. Get green lighted with the intent to go D1/FBS. Very, very expensive.
Oh & thunder the reason UAB's endowment approaches UAT is b/c of the medical school. And if we were ranking sec schools by endowment I'm pretty sure Vandy would be #1 so let's not confuse general resources with resources available to athletics.

UAB has that large of an endowment despite it's athletic program. How big would UTK's be without football?
