I normally don't demand for a coaching change just barely into the third season. But I have seen enough of this coaching staff. I am tired of this Big Ten basketball we have. It's boring to watch and it's just not good. The loss to NC State was the final straw for me. Even if they beat Virginia and go 12-6 in the SEC, they're not getting into the tournament. But they're not doing that. NC State is probably just the 6th or 7th best team in the SEC. A team shooting for second or third in the SEC should lose to the 6th or 7th ACC team on your own floor by the margin they lost by. This team lost to UTEP as well, a bad loss. I'm tired of this team starting off slow in non-league play and getting hot in SEC play in a weak conference. Time for a change when this season ends.

He is nearly as bad as Wade. Considering the talent I bet one who knows baketball (not JM) could do a film study and prove Fartin is worse.
It was obvious halfway thru season one as I pointed out repeatedly but was mostly met with jeers from the JMSheep type.
Horrible coach. Possibly the worst.
Cowboy was right again!

Disagree. It's not time for a new coach, it is PAST time for a new coach. No point in waiting until the end of the season, either. Hart could probably find a better coach just about any night at the HPER.

I was looking at the SEC schedule again. The road portion of the schedule is tough for a team that doesn't play that well outside of TBA. Their games are at LSU, at Kentucky, at Florida, at Alabama, at Vandy, at Missouri, at Texas A&M, at Miss. State, and then at Auburn. Other than at Auburn, tell me there three road wins will come from since it looks like anything under 12-6 in SEC play will not get it done.

I'll take Shaka OD.
I predict that he won't turn it around. However, these aren't his seniors (leaders) so even as bad as it is right now, CCM gets the rest of this season to get it right or get gone. Three years isn't a fair amount of time (unless you are Dooley), but you must be able to exhibit a certain degree of in-game and game prep competence. He has recruited well, but basketball isn't as much Jimmys and Joes as football is. The coach is a bigger part of the game beyond the recruiting. In football a great recruiter can still have much success even if he's lacking in other areas (Les Miles).

Unlike in football, in basketball an entire roster can be turned in 1-2 years. Maybe it's not "fair", but at least there should be some indication of improvement. We see absolutely no indication that things are going to get better, and in fact we see just the opposite.

Yes we have... this year's and next year's freshman.
Three years isn't fair... these aren't his seniors. However, I'm saying that he needs to show some form of life. He gets about 3 more months and if nothing good happens he has to leave even after only three years.
He's underachieving with Maymon, McRae, and Stokes but they really don't fit his style. Unfortunately they're his best three players.

I really haven't been able to figure it out yet. And shouldn't an SEC level coach be able to adjust his style to that of the talent he has to work with?

4 years is absurd for football, let alone basketball.
Basketball 3 years MAX.

Right now it's a hair over two. He gets the rest of this year. I doubt that he can get it done.

A coach should get 4 years to build a program. However Wade was given a fifth year which was maybe the worst basketball decision ever made at UT. The brothers owe us crackers a year. We're cashing it in in a few months.

That style worked at Butler. However they played with discipline and were fundamentally sound. They could make free throws and outside shots. Wrong personnel on this TN team.
