Play a zone and 1 against TN and win. Since we can't consistently hit shots from outside (or free throws) (or layups for that matter) teams are gonna have an easy time D'ing up.
Cuonzo is making it even easier for them by not pushing the ball. It's like he's saying "Go ahead and get your D setup against us so we can miss our 3's".
On the defensive side, I am worried about a coach that refuses to use a zone. That makes no sense.

Midseason firings generally speaking cost neutral save for a small bonus paid to an assistant that fills in as interim (which sometimes happens, sometimes doesn't) assuming no one from the outside hired mid season.

Scenario 1: Say he gets blown out today. Per the contract what is the man owed? Scenario 2: He gets blowed out at season's end. Monetarily, is there a difference? I want to say I heard K.Hathfield saying something to the effect that "after April the buyout amount goes way down" but I'm at a loss as to understanding the significance of that. It's not rocket science. He's in year 3 of 5. If he's fired after this year he'll get 2X$780K or $1.56 million. Most likely since he is in to the year this year he would get his entire contracted amount of $1.3 million were he fired in mid season, or at least he would if his lawyer knows what he is doing. OK, now I get it. Thanks.
