Based on what we saw against Bama, I don't think poise is an issue with Dobbs. It also looked like he was getting support from his teammates. I'll be glad to see him get a shot whenever the coaches think it's a good idea.

Game was already decided by the time he entered. Not much pressure. Didn't complete a pass the first series in the second half. Had to burn a time out to prevent a delay penalty. Don't forget, he's barely out of high school.

Also, Plumber (the real Plumber, not PlumbeRJ) says that Dobbs is a nerd, has no leadership qualities, and all his teammates hate him. Rude, check into that. Bizarre post from the WhiteManWhoWasSelfAppointed to defend the beaten down black man. I saw that Cowboy. I was going to tell you guys to check that out. That is just Plumber. He always has bizarre inside information like that. That is just crazy. Thunder, give me a break. Why are you such an adamant supporter of Worley? You are acting like he is irreplaceable or something. I don't care what point of the game he came in against Bammer, it was at Bammer in front of over 100,000 and he played pretty well. Give him a shot.

I'm giving him a shot. I'm just not throwing Worley away. He was the 2010-2011 Gatorade National Player of the Year and passed for about 10 miles in high school. Maybe the coaching staff knows more than the Dobb-throes know.
Worley gives TN the best chance to win games of the QBs over there right now. He's more fundamentally sound than the rest, he's just not flashy. There's a lot more to being the QB than running now and then.

What does that matter? Like I said, Ainge, Shaeffer did ok starting in their true freshman years (right away) and Manning did ok starting in the middle of his true freshman year.
I have got it now! You are racist! You don't want a black QB to start!

Tennessee coach Butch Jones will address reporters at NOON as the Vols prepare to play No. 10 Missouri.
Now color don't matter on QB, winning does, now if its something else by Gawd like dating my daughter or coming home for Thanksgiving das something else...Who was it been working like a a few days ago..

He's not Tony Robinson or Jimmy Streater but I hope that he can be.
I've haven't been saying to keep Dobbs on the bench. I've been saying that Worley isn't ready for the trash heap... BUT the Dobb-throes want him there. I've been saying to play them both. If Dobbs shiat doesn't stink, like the Dobb-throes think it doesn't, then by all means give him every snap. I'm just not convinced yet. If he plays above average at Missouri for the whole game then I will be convinced.
How much do the Dobb-throes think that Alabama spent preparing for a true freshman that hasn't seen the field all season? They were probably expecting him to run... but he handed off on most of the plays that he was behind center.

Something else that concerns me. He couldn't beat out Worley for the starting job and that's often pointed out. However, he seems to fit the offensive system much better than Worley does AND he still couldn't take the job.
I just hope the TN coaches make their decision on who to play based on what they are seeing in practice and they don't simply cave to the Dobb-throes like they apparently did to the Peter-sheep for the Florida game.

However, he seems to fit the offensive system much better than Worley does AND he still couldn't take the job. Like I said, I am tired of that argument. I would like to think they wanted to redshirt him and let him gain muscle and strenght and wait for more playmakers to go with him. They had to burn the redshirt cause Worley wasn't getting it done against Bama and the thumb also was a factor. I am not a Dobb-throe (whatever the heck that is) but I just see greater potential with him. If he messes up early in the game, then put Worley back in. That is fine. Worley should have played sooner in the Florida game. I would also be in favor of using them both. I do agree that the coaches may have caved under the pressure to start Peterman. I wish they had tried Dobbs or Ferguson in that game instead.
