My brother called late this afternoon & asked if I wanted to help load out the sound system the Vols were using at practice. One of the crews we work with had some d&b J-subs and a few top cabinets set up in the north endzone with a DJ rig over in the corner. If you guess that anyone other than Sterl the Pearl was the DJ, I’m afraid you’d have to guess again. I heard that the coaches had been making requests before I got there. Coach Jones asked for Marvin’s “Let’s Get It On.” I think my wool is even thicker now.
I didn’t see enough to have an idea which QB looked best, but we did manage to almost run down Coach Majors while we were rolling the gear out. Then, he wanted to leave while we were still loading the truck and was worried about driving past us. My brother was helping him back his car up so he could take another route out from under the stadium and there was almost the Spaz & his dad scene from Meatballs. He came pretty close to hitting one of the support columns. I’m really glad neither one of those things happened.

Even a living legend can lack the ability to unite the fan base.
