I made the rather obvious point that Eric Berry is Teddy Gaines compared to Dale Carter.
Truth hurts doesn't it, Sheep.

Carter was great, but Berry is special.
Carter also was a handful to keep in line. Majors frequently talks about him in speeches.

They were both great. Berry was there for Fulmer's worst years + the Kitten debacle. Carter was there for Majors' best years.
I don't think it has to be a contest.
If you insist though axe Knowshon Moreno if Berry can hit at all.

Eric Berry and Dale Carter were both game-changers.
I can't say either is better than the other. I remember Gerald Griffin came in a little after Carter, and wore #18, and had the big shoulder pads, and looked like Carter. Physically. But there was no question he wasn't as good as Carter.
Then Deon Grant came in, and was a very good safety, and played Safety on Carter's level, but wasn't the game changer Carter was.
Eric Berry is the only player we've had since Carter on Carter's level.
And Dale Carter is the only other player like Berry we've had in the last 30 years or so.
I hate that John Ward never got to call games with Eric Berry playing. I loved how he said "Dale .....CAR-TER".

Berry could have played just about any position on the field at a high level.
Remember the Vandy game in 2008 where he pretty much played QB the whole game and I think had a pick-6...

In '91 I was on the porch at Pat O'Briens.
In '13 I'm in a recliner watchin' Hyams and Pat Ryan.
