At my gov'ment job our conference calls go like this:
Scheduled start time: 11am
Actual Start time: 11:20am
20 minutes of folks trying to figure out the mute/unmute. "Can someone please mute their line so we can hear? We can hear you eating/typing/breathing/etc.
15 minutes of introductions - even though we all know each other
15 minutes for the host to go and print off their agenda and bring it to their phone...they forgot
I could go on but you get the point.

I get most of my TLF posting done while on abysmal conference calls. Fact.
Most conference calls are better than (having to shower, shave, put clothes on &) hauling your ass into a physical location to meet with the same dysfunctional band of miscreants face to face.
