Gus, are you saying Campbell and UT parted ways? Or something else? Retired I was told. Maybe it could be tied in with the state of the program. I kinda like that, you know - football program goes into decline and everything, including turf quality, corresponds.

Is Dooley still getting paid? Should bring him back one day, put him up in a Holiday Inn Express, and let him run a turf grass seminar for the grounds crew.

Yep, he retired several years ago. Well, ok then. What do you know about what's going on over there these days?

It's my understanding that there is one crew now who are supposed to be taking care of all of the facilities, and like I said, it surprises me that they are having issues with SWF, given it has always been one of the very best grass surfaces in the Southeastern US, and given that the playing surface at Lindsey Nelson Stadium is still one of the best around. Don't have a clue why SWF has gotten so bad, but it is bad.

Maybe it's Obama's fault.

Is it just that the grass looks bad or is the ground torn up? According to Jeeker they used to overseed with rye grass to keep it pretty later in the year.
Lyndsey Nelson gets more southern exposure than SWF unless there are trees blocking rays. Even so they shouldn't be blocking near as much as GG HH II JJ KK LL MM and the Jumbotron.

Dude, it's all that and and a box of crackers. It simply looks like nobody cares. As Gus pointed out, it's down to dirt in places between the hash marks, and the dirt it's down to looks(ed) like some rogue rhinoceros rutted around and stomped random mudholes in it.

He said they don't do anything with the field. That is different too. But in my opinion, it started going down hill when they changed the stadium around. The field doesn't get full sun all day now. And those clowns were worried about the students being out on the field during the snow this winter. I guess they are the reason it looks like that now.
