.Campbell County vs Clinton - This could be a pretty good football game. After playing some weak teams early on, Campbell County was exposed by a good Anderson County team last Friday. Clinton won a tough game against Gibbs on the road. This is the "brother in law bowl" as CC head coach Justin Price and Clinton head coach Josh Kerr are BILs. It's also the Thursday Night Rivalry game, which means that it will take about 4 1/2 hours to play. I'm going with Campbell County to get their offense back together, but this could end up being a 48-41 type game.
.Gibbs vs Halls - Halls is still not very good. I am going with Gibbs in this border battle.
.Oakdale vs Wartburg - Oakdale is now 4-0 for the first time in school history. Wartburg is winless on the year. Oakdale goes to 5-0 this week. Wartburg stays winless.
.Maryville vs Hardin Valley - Hardin Valley is a big team and they have a solid tailback. But Maryville is Maryville. Maryville wins big.
.Morristown East vs Cherokee - 2-2 M'town East at 1-3 Cherokee. Going with the Hurricanes to get the road win.
.Oak Ridge vs McMinn County - Oak Ridge is a solid team, my favorite to win District 3AAA at this point. McMinn County is not good. Oak Ridge wins on the road.
.Union County vs Pigeon Forge - Pigeon Forge. Big.
.Carter vs Austin-East - AE has improved a lot, but is still 0-4 on the year. Carter has won its last two after the tough week zero TV loss to Gibbs. Carter has had a week off to heal and get ready for AE. The Hornets win big.
.West vs Farragut - Farragut is the latest team to get ripped a new one by Fulton, and sits at 1-3 on the year, also losing to Oak Ridge and D-B. Their lone win came against a not very good Lenoir City team. West's lone loss came to Maryville. Farragut has traditionally played West about as well as anybody not named Maryville, and this game could be closer than most believe it will, but in the end West's speed should be too much for the Admirals. I like West in this one in a fairly close game.
.Grace Christian vs Harriman - GCA was the #1 ranked team in class 2A last week, but lost to McMinn Central last Friday at home after scoring a TD with less than 2 minutes to go and electing to go for 2 and the win, but coming up short. Harriman started out the year by beating two bad teams, but has now lost 2 in a row. Make it 3 losses in a row for the Blue Devils after this one. GCA gets back in the win column.
.Webb vs Friendship Christian - This game will go a long way in determining who wins District 1 in D2A. Friendship Christian is 3-0, having beaten three solid teams. Webb is 1-2, but those losses have been to Maryville and Baylor. I like Friendship Christian to get the home win in this game and take charge of that district race.
.Central vs Powell - Central got back on the winning track last week with a win over Karns at home on a night that former Central coaching great Joel Helton was honored. Powell had the week off after beating Karns at Karns the week before in the "We Hate Kilgore" bowl. Central beat Powell last year at Central, and I like them to make it two in a row over the Panthers.
.Anderson County vs Karns - Karns lost the aforementioned game at Central last week, and literally added injury to insult by losing their best athlete to a season ending ACL tear that will require surgery. AC won a big 3AAA game against Campbell County. AC continues its winning ways this week.
.Chatt. Tyner vs Catholic - Catlik is 3-0 and coming off of a 70 point outburst against neighborhood rival CAK. Tyner is 0-3 and has scored all of 7 points this season. The Fighting Areish wins in a name your score game.
.Kingston vs Alcoa - After going 0-10 last year and losing its first 2 this year, Kingston upset previously unbeaten and ranked Rockwood last Friday. That's the good news. The bad news is that they play at Alcoa this week. Alcoa big.
