Something else worth mentioning is how few turnovers the Vols had again today. They've really been minimizing the silly plays. Yass!! 5 today.

They seem to be playing more cleaner. Spacing is much improved. Made a great deal more free throws than they missed.
I'm seeing focused effort more than anything, plus Depth on the bench that has been invisible in recent years.
Hey it's basically preseason, but so far i'll say I like what I see. (Glaring uglitudes at Xavier and UTEP aside)
They is a lot to be positive and hopeful about this team.
And future of program under CM as well.

They flashed a stat at the game. Tenn. leads the league so far on fewest turnovers per game! Tennessee's defense seems to intensify in the second half every game. Cuonzo can make adjustments! Looking like It can be a great year. I really like Thompson and A. J. Davis. Yall think they might redshirt Reese? I don't think he has seen the court since exhibition games.

Seems like the Tech point guard threw it away a lot in the second half. He was on fire at the start with assists and scoring... TN didn't have an answer to cover someone that quick.
I like giving McRae a rest with Thompson at the point and moving Barton to McRae's spot. Hubbs just doesn't seem ready for big boy basketball on the defensive end. Maybe Moore can spell McRae too. I like the defensive intensity with Richardson and Moore on the court together.
McRae's bounce pass to Jarnell under the basket was maybe the play of the day (I think it was Stokes). Second half (UT end of the court) McRae came flying in from the left wing/corner and dropped it off in the paint. Loved it.

Forgot about Reese. Reese, Edwards, and Chievous have disappeared. Real tall guy at the end of the bench didn't get in, I was wondering who that was... probably Reese - or maybe it was Davis and he had put his warm ups back on. I didn't even see Chievous on the bench dressed out. I think I saw the kid from A-E (Lopez) but not the kid from Fulton (Campbell). Maybe everybody doesn't get to dress out since there are so many (15) this year.

I remember Reese in his first game, had a nice contribution in a win over Xavier at home last year.
Lopez helped us in several games last year. Had a nice driving layup against Florida last year in a key moment.
I think we just have better options than Reese, Lopez, and Chievous this year. They could be contributors, but just arent needed right now.
They are good options to have w/ their experience if we get into foul trouble or injuries later on.

I like Lopez, but he really has no business seeing the court if TN has even average point guards. Barton and Thompson have in effect ended Lopez's TN season. If he works hard maybe he'll get some time spelling Thompson next year. I wonder if he can get a redshirt this year.
Didn't realize that Edwards is a SR. I thought that he was a JR. I bet that Reese redshirts and/or transfers. Chievous was redshirted last year... wouldn't be surprised if he transfers. Davis and Hubbs are taking the minutes that those guys were getting. It would help if Chievous and Reese were to really bulk up... I could see Chievous doing that, but not Reese. Reese is Swiper Boy Light. Chievous has a tough streak in him. I do like the two walk-ons from A-E and Fulton, but unless things really fall apart I don't expect them to get much PT this year or the next two.

Edwards was a wasted scholarship. He has some talent and seems like a smart player and Wolfie has always liked him but he only sees the floor for mop up duty.
Davis is a better option that Reese or Cheivis. Hobbs is a five star and has to get minutes. Hope his shooting improves.
