Dude sitting on millionaire row wearing a lady vol tank top jersey. Surprised he isn't helping Sam put up his unicycles.

Playing well offensively. Getting it inside, scoring about every time.
Defensively... yuck.

Tech had been making 30% of its 3s, but hit 7-8 to start the game. They rode that to a 32-25 lead. UT pretty much put a stop to that and it was the Vols by 59-31 the rest of the way.
Thompson is one of the calmest players I've seen in a while.

Credit C.Martin (and staff?) for halftime adjustments and then to players executing in 2nd half.
Ist half defense was soft on perimeter, and inconsistent elsewhere. Also, overall intensity/focus seemed lacking as well - although nothing near as abysmal as @ UTEP or Xavier in Cincy earlier this year. Plus, even though we helped them, Tech did shoot lights out in the first half. 80% 3 point shooting (24 points out of 30 possible).
2nd half different story from the git go. TN took away their 3's, played solid push offensively. Pretty clean game, really did not see more than a couple of questionable calls. Tech couldn't make what free throws they did get (3 for 12, I think), and TN got to the line alot more often and seemed to be knocking them down at a pretty good %, better than usual anyway.
Tech had way too many turnovers, many of them unforced. TN took care of business, solid performance overall.
Life's better when you win.

Was impressed w/ the Tech PG, Samarrippas.
We need to continue to feed the post, and not get suckered into threes on offense. If we can just stay patient and get Stokes/Maymon the ball, we will win a lot of games.

Interesting on our recent opponents:
Xavier beat Bowling Green today, but needed OT.
Wake Forest beat Richmond in OT today.
I believe both won by double digits in the extra session.

Something else worth mentioning is how few turnovers the Vols had again today. They've really been minimizing the silly plays.
