I love a good cheeseburger. Pizza is more of a chore to eat.

Mag with an unprecedented take down of Cowboy. Impressive.
Must be that Coalfield is Oak Ridges little brother.

The people writing reviews on Yelp are less representative of the population than the half dozen or so remaining content contributors at SSS

If Roman's was better than Big Ed's they would still be in business! Big Ed's is to Oak Ridge as football is to Alabama. It's the only thing there to be proud of. Some might be pretty proud of the enriched uranium they've cranked out of there too.

You go from Knoxville, through Oak Ridge, to get to Oliver Springs, which you go through to get to Coalfield.
There used to be a few things in O.S, but sometimes you had to go to Oak Ridge. Then on to Knoxville.
But Big Eds is just something different from anything you can find. It is a ONE OF A KIND place, and that is what is so cool about it. Most people these days don't appreciate those kinds of places.
I saw Big Ed literally throw a man out of there one night. Picked him up by the belt and the back of his shirt and threw him out.

The only place that can match Oliver Springs for Homewreckers is Alamo in TN. So for that, Oak Ridge and Coalfield ain't all bad.

Like a steak I think I can do 3 of these things better myself. A hamburger is one of the easiest things a person can cook. Just try different toppings. I'm always looking for good pizza tho.

I looked up Jim Ed's and read some reviews and they get MASSACRED. Yes , I am aware this is the internet and thats how it goes but it's very interesting that post after post is the same; Filthy dirty, no utensils, paper plates. The quality of the food hardly gets mentioned due to the griping of so many fixable problems. Finally, no credit cards? Seriously? BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! Folks, that is a backwoods, crappy place for that reason alone. "We are Jim Eds. We are famous. We are in Oak Ridge, TN. Thus, we dont have to get out of the slavery era and get a credit card machine. Why pay a 28 cent fee to CC issuers on a $14 charge for a 14" cheese pizza. Do you scum know what my profit is on that order?" Probably $13.00 but I digress. Any place that doesnt accept cards in 2013 should be razed. The reason they wont bend is: 1)they are in a remote, rural, nothing happening section of the world 2)Cash only is the very definition of money laundering. Bet this Jim Ed guy was a Moslem 3) Stupid sheep go there every week to keep up the myth that their left behind town is a national treasure. Good Christ. Big Ed wasn't a muslim. He was however a sniper for the 1st Marines under Chesty Puller in World War II. He earned three Purple Hearts in service at Peleliu and Okinawa. That's the end of my OMG post. I will admit, I don't understand why they take checks and not credit cards. If you're under 65 and write a check for food, I'd assume it's going to bounce.
