Though cute and creative, it's time to retire the referring of Mark Richt as Handsome Fulmer. Richt is Lombardi compared to Fulmer and Mack Brown.
"After the game, Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze said the Longhorns ran virtually the same defense it had last week when they were shredded by BYU."
Is that not quintessential Fulmer? An outright refusal to evolve and adapt?

Oh, the Clawfense was one hell of a evolution.

I'm showing my age, but watching that game reminded me of 1986 Alabama when they ran that toss sweep to Bobby Humphrey on us every play and we couldn't, or wouldn't, do a damn thing about it.

That was my first Alabama game. 15 years old. One sequence, they ran Humphrey around right end. 60 yard TD. But wait! Holding! 2nd and 25, same play, 70 yard TD.

The parallel between Fulmer and Brown is downright scary. I saw Mack in an interview on Gameday and he's giving some of the same answers Fulmer used to give.

He gave the "check the film" answer on Diaz after the BYU game.

He said "perfect storm" a couple years back when they had a losing record.

Has anyone ever seen the two together? Could argue that they are the same person.

Winchester and Cookeville are only a couple hours apart.
