It could also be one of those games, where the risk of playing it, outweighs the reward. We win, it will be that we were supposed to win, and no big deal. Lose, and it is a crusher, in terms of momentum. Yeah, but dang, let's just go ahead and lay the frikking wood down Like you Mag said, before backing down..., They are western kentucky. We are Tennessee. Gonna be a good time, good time now...

I did hear that today on Basilio. They're replaying it right now. It was during a call by some guy named Magnum. He was talking about running a motorcycle around the field tomorrow. Where does Basilio get these nutty callers? Peyton is and has always been at his best throwing to orange/blue jerseyed receivers. Probably I missed the cadence and scrubbed the quote, but still it was a good'un by Maig.

Relic, I said "He always has been good at throwing to guys in Orange and Blue". Or something like that.
Yeah Thunder, I said with Butch and his gimmicks, instead of the Walking Horse, we need a guy to run a motorcycle around the field with a blonde on the back"
Relic, if Little Magnum's game wasn't in the morning, we would be there. I really wish it were a night game.

Bunch a whiners! (not just on here and not all on here) Fred White and Goodrich were on Russell W's show today. They said ESPN and other national sports people were picking this game as the upset of the week. They said the only reason is cause Petrino coaches WK. They said "What has he won?" They both said Tenn would cover the spread. I called them and said "Kentucky ran for 216 yards on WK. With Tennessee's line, they should be able to run for 400 yards on WK. and keep Petrino's offense off the field." They agreed and said Tenn should be able to break long runs against them cause our backs are faster than Kentucky's. Kentucky had several long runs.
What are you guys so scared of Petrino and WK? I'm with Wolfgang. Tenn should win by 25 or more.
I will be thar!

Still though what might the result have looked like without the 7 turnovers? (or say even with 3 or 4)
Just a strange game.
Don't get me wrong, I'll take the score/result all day long and going away on Sunday
Lots and lots of question marks though. And you don't have to look beyond the hood ornament, no let me correct that, you don't have to look much past the end of your nose...
But hey I'm taking the 2 - 0 start and I ain't looking back.
52 - 20. Never saw it coming.
Worley is awful. And hey, hate to say it but it just looks like the O.Line is over rated. Or maybe Neal and Lane just can't get it done.
In closing, I'd take any of the backs from WKU over either one of those 2.

O Line got good push I thought. It's the backs. They both suck.

Weather was huge. TN couldn't stop the 1st half WKU drives. Their QB was our best defensive player. TN's defense couldn't get off of the field. Funny thing though that I think was the difference. Usually the offense wears down the defense when they have the ball that long. Today I think that UT's defense wore down the WKU offense. Again, it was brutally uncomfortable in the sun. It didn't get behind a cloud all day long and there was very little wind. I think that TN was the much better conditioned team.

O Line got good push I thought. It's the backs. They both suck. Did you watch Lane in the second half? Looked pretty good to me. As far as the first half, all those turnovers (5 straight!) skewed the first half. They came out a different team in the second. Worley looked a lot sharper and they scored on three of four straight drives and it would have been four if Worley hadn't thrown that interception. That tells me that Butch knows how to make second half adjustments. I bet he really let the team have it at the half. I wish I could have heard that. For those who watched on TV, what did Butch say at the half before going to the locker room? I Texted Fed, Wolfgang and others after the game "Take that you Petrino loving Cattleman." I hope I hear what he has to say on Monday. Who's afraid of the great Petrino now! 7 turnovers! Is that close to a record in a game? I don't ever remember 5 straight like today with two pick six's in a row (by Tenn anyway).

Saying Lane sucks is an overstatement by me. He's certainly serviceable.
Worley, however, should not play one more down for UT. No way he should be out there I don't care how green the other three are.

I bet Jones was just playin with Petrino first half.
I am looking forward to what they do against Oregon. Oregon ain't settin the woods on fire against Vagina right now. 28-10. That may change considerably second half though.

He sucked bad in the first half but looked a lot sharper in the second half. The guy I was sitting with and I were hoping Jones would start Peterman second half to see if he would be any better. It worked out. I'd say Jones didn't want to shake Worley's confidence.
