www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/2015/09/26/butch-jones-tennessee-sec-ugly-loss-florida/72907284/But Tennessee has lost two games this season, and both of them fall directly on the lap of the head coach. Jones isn't in must-win territory yet, but his quality of life isn't going to be very good for the next few weeks in Knoxville. After floating through his first two seasons and charming Tennessee's fan base with promises of tomorrow, Saturday was the biggest game of his career. And he blew it.
And he is now 14-15

Pretty strong piece by Dan Wolken.
I could be mistaken, but I think Tony had him on one day this week.

If I was in charge I wouldnt fire Jones but it would be the correct move. No need waiting to do what will be done eventually. Hes the worst game coach UT has ever employed in any sport.

Jones didn't take much responsibility for the loss after the game, much like he didn't after the OU game until the Monday presser. Is he going to wait until Monday to do the same for this game? The cliches are fine until you start blowing games like this. Time to start coaching them up.

How many times did Buzz lose games when he had a three point lead and seconds to play?

THX OD.
JMO, but the coarse language kind of undermines the reliability of the content.
I could quibble with a detail or 2.
On point for the most part though.

saw this
Now that we are having serious questions about the abilities of Butch as head coach, I want to remind everyone that it goes further up the ladder than Jones in terms of questionable decision making. Dave Hart and the university have structured Butch Jones' contract, recently extended, in a manner that guarantees Jones $2 million per year for each year remaining on his contract if he were to be fired. His contract runs through 2021. That means we would owe him $12 million dollars if he were to tank this and we wanted to go in a different direction. The mind numbing stupidity of a deal like this demonstrates that we have a serious problem with those making decisions on the Hill. Who, in their right mind, hamstrings a program by creating such a long term contract obligation with high financial obligations to a coach who hadn't won anything, yet? It tells me two things
