RIP Molly Hatchet drummer Bruce Crump. Sailed on to the Gator Country at age 57. At best a serviceable drummer. But yes RIP, and way too young at that. Is it just me, or they all dropping like flies all around us.

Another rock drummer dead at an early age. RIP AJ Pero of hair band Twisted Sister dead at age 55. A side note: Anybody know who the mean ole Dad is at the beginning of this video? It's the Maestro on Seinfeld. Remember the movie line: "you're worthless and weak. Now drop and give me 20!" He was Douglas Neidermeyer of Omega Theta Pi in Animal House.

Bob Burns (64) Drummer for the real Lynyrd Skynyrd Yep. Original Skynyrd drummer, was with the band for it's first couple of albums, which included Freebird and Sweet Home Alabama. Left the band after 1974 because he was tired of touring. That's when Artimus Pyle joined the band.

He had great taste in dogs. You mean like our President? Oh, you mean that Rosco P. Coltrane liked to have basset hounds as pets. He didn't like the way they taste like Oba........ Never mind.

Kyle Testerman (79 or 80) - Knoxville mayor that had a lot to do with the 1982 World's Fair landing in Knoxville. I think the location of the I-640 had a lot to do with his influence. Would have made a lot more sense for the west side of the bypass to have been located 10-20 miles further west. Don't know if true, but I always heard the family invested wisely in real estate around the I-640 exits before it was "determined" where it would go.

RIP to Steve Byrnes, Fox broadcaster for NASCAR. He fought a good fight but just couldn't beat cancer.
