They just turned it back on when they needed to. If its 27-21 maybe they get tight. It was the only chance.
3rd downs, they got TD's we kicked FG's. That was the game.
Meanwhile, Les Miles, as horrible a coach as there is, has a very young team that is right in the thick of it again.

he going to have to grow a set if he is going to compete. playing not to lose and for moral victories is not going to get UT where it should be. .

1000% convinced. If you come in here and defend kicking that FG it will be difficult for me to find the strength not to come and kick your ass. Dime store hire, penny stock results. Who ya gonna get? He's an C-USA coach in the SEC. He seems to do well as a CEO type - can recruit and be the face and voice of the program. He needs to dump his C-USA assistants and pay guys to develop players, gameplan, and in-game decision making. UT cannot afford to ax him the question any time soon unless they are 1000% certain they have their dream coach committed to take the job.

I think axing the coordinators would eff up the recruiting based on what he's selling.

Remember Sal? I wouldn't get rid of any coach. Let them all sink on that ship.

I talk to a current verbal commitment on occasion and he's not all that excited about what he's seen from the offense thus far.

I wouldn't be so brutal as to advocate dumping assistant coaches at this point, but serious performance evaluations as to those guys do need to be undertaken, and perhaps tough decisions made based on results of said evaluations.

It's pretty simple. The next four will pretty much determine which direction the Butch Boat sails. 2-2 or worse, somebody will be run off.

Really looking forward to the next 4 though. I'm really looking forward to fuggin may 1st, when I won't be tortured with Vols' shit shows in FB and BB, and watching one of our rivals hang a banner.

Damn. Yep, everything sucks and we're living in a shitstorm hurricane with no hope in the foreseeable future.

This realistically could be the first year maybe ever where both football and hoops misses the post season.
