Every time the wind blows the power goes out. I don't want to live in Knoxville, but KUB is far ahead of the LCUB clownage.
A guy I know that is retired from KUB said that LCUB doesn't have switching or something. When there is an outage, it affects a large area instead of being able to reroute power so that a problem would only affect a small area.
I was reading about soccer rules and had the Argentina -Iran match on. It must be a sign that I should stay away from futbol.

Power is back after being out for about an hour. But just went out again. Then it's back on. It must go out about 25 days every year. And then it cuts on and off several times each day that it goes off. That can't be good for TVs, computers, HVAC, etc.

Looking at their coverage area map, I think that I'm right on the edge. It doesn't look like the office park just beyond my back yard is in the LCUB service area.

Ya know, I rip KUB, and for good reason, because of what they did to my Dad's business one time, but I never have an outage (knock on wood).

Are you in LC? I've got LCUB out in west Knox. I was just mentioning how much better it is than when we moved here. However, we didn't have much of a storm. Lot of sound, not much fury.

I'm at the far eastern edge of the LCUB zone in Knox. Hardly a week goes by that I don't come home one day and the clocks are all flashing 12:00.

Ive been told that burying power lines is too expensive.
I reckon fixing them every storm is cheap.

I have Hallsdale-Powell for water. I win this thread. Yer water never fails. And at the rates we pay for it, it had better not fail.
