Cowboy, I was the exact same way. S.I. came in the mail, I had it read before, every word, before I was asleep that night. I MIGHT look at that magazine now at the doctor's office or barber. I think we just got plumb dumb.

I think we just got plumb dumb. Maybe you've always been plumbdumb. But now, perhaps, you are enlightened and aware. (the good souls of our world can only hope) Go forth, Soldier..... There is worth and purpose in being a happy idiot. Takes one to know one, of course.

I was just like the rest of you. S.I. from cover to cover, usually 2 times. I hadn't looked at one in years till a couple weeks ago at Dr. office. The format was so unreadable to me. I think I lost interest after the internet and sports channels. You can read and look at so much about an event before SI gets to you, that I moved on to something else. Plus sports don't have the importance in my life they did as a kid.

Plus sports don't have the importance in my life they did as a kid. Last sentence is key I think. Too many other real life things in the way to get that invested. But again, kids today wont read it either. My son lives sports--well, and wrestling too now, God help me--and he wont read it. If he wont, few kids are. The format isn't good either, agreed. For that, I don't blame SI. They've tried damn near everything to stop the hemorrhage and nothing has worked. For example, my issue goes to my old house so I dont get it anymore for weeks at a time. But SI rolled out a ballyhooed IPad and Kindle launch thinking that might parry the people fleeing print. I have the app and think I have opened it twice. And one of those was for the swimsuit edition.

I guess with Wilkerson and Ferrera on air all this week, probably will be all kinds of baseball talk. No thanks!

No joke, last week I tuned in and Hyams was interviewing somebody about FIGURE SKATING. It was probably a Knoxville Sports Hall of Fame inductee, but good lord...

Shocking news here: Hyams had the LSU guy from the Shreveport paper on there, toward end of last week.
I think he has one LSU guy on a week.
