I think the truth is somewhere in the middle. Fulmer was no doubt on the decline but the administration has been awful for years and they still suck. We have zero Tennessee people left in charge. No passion, it's just a paycheck.

No passion, it's just a paycheck. Agree. Admin could have been better but Adams ignored them and stuck to Fulmer. His record and his words. Nothing Adams said is up for debate. The best Fulmer can do is make excuses... ...and Filmer is as adept at making excuses as he is stacking a shoneys buffet plate |

Guys, I can't run down on Heavy. I just can't. He will forever be my Battle Captain who helped provide the best years any living fan has seen and brought us the big title.
I've cussed him time after time and agree it was time to exit. But I still loathe how it was handled. This administration treated a Hall of Fame coach like shit and ended up embarrassing themselves in the process.
The reason we are hoping for 6 wins this year has nothing to do with Phil Fulmer.

Basilio's blog had some stats a guy put together the other day. UT lost something like a total of two home games for maybe the first ten years of Fulmer's tenure, then was averaging around two home losses a year toward the end. Whatever caused it, the domination was over.
Mauler, I agree that the way his firing was handled was embarrassing.

The fact is fulmer was close to going down as one of the greatest in league history. He wins the 01 game vs that douche saban and both courses are altered. He literally had to try to F things up the way he did.

That '01 game was when I started giving up on him. Check that roster out in retrospect. Probably his best team talent wise.
Think also about that game in Gainesville. Florida was favored by 18 or so. Now, that line was correct based on the way that season played out. But the difference in Floridas roster and UT's was a gaping chasm. Possibly his most underachieving team which is saying a lot.

Can the John Adams fans here admit this guy just likes stirring up chit? Dude mailed it in YEARS ago and now he just likes poking bears with sticks and playing ding dong ditch with the cranky old people in the neighborhood. This story didn't need to be written. Not even if Heavy called him up and begged for some ink.
