Cuonzo killing it recruiting
He now has 2 top 10 players in the fold. The latest from Marrietta, GA. That's a lot of distance from the Bay area. I wonder if Zo is flying commercial or private?
Basketball recruiting is strange.
...5 of the Top 20 list on Rivals are from the state of Nevada. UNLV landed only one.
...2 of the Top 11 are from the state of Wisconsin, and after Wisky came so close from winning it all, they don't sign either guy. (one to Marquette and the other to Maryland)
...2 of the Top 15 are from Florida and they are both heading to LSU.

Where was that recruiting prowess when he was in Knoxville?
Just asking.

Where was that recruiting prowess when he was in Knoxville? Just asking. He has better assistant coaches now. Yanni and Wyking. Yanni was Vandy's RC. Serious upgrades over Jon Harris.

In my failing memory, Zo recruited well for UT too.

In my failing memory, Zo recruited well for UT too. Do what? Who did he sign that was a highly, or even moderately recruited prospect?

Do what? Who did he sign that was a highly, or even moderately recruited prospect? Stokes Whom Pearl had primed the pump on and fell in to Double Live Cuonzo's lap because nobody else had schollys available for Stokes to play at mid-term. Try again. What highly regarded player other than Stokes did Martin sign?

Stokes didn't have to enroll during his senior year. He could have waited until the following year, but he decided to play for Cuonzo instead.

Hubbs III is fair. Not hardly any others are even passable D1 players.

Hubbs III is fair. Not hardly any others are even passable D1 players. Cofer was a 4 star. But thanks for playing.

Austin, Turman, Davis, Thompson all 3 stars.
Stokes, 5 star
Plus, did CCM sign Richardson? He was a freshman CCM's 1st year.
Not to mention that TN was the 2nd choice of several big time players while CCM was coach.
It's not surprising that CCM is recruiting well. What he meeds to get better at is game planning and especially in-game adjustments. Also, he was a bump on a log at TN. He's more fiery these days. He even got his first ever technical foul last season.
