It's not a game, it is an "event".
So says Butch.
Whatever that means.

That means we do goofy stuff, run up the scoreboard, and call it a success.

It used to be fun in the early 1970s when they were divided up into an orange team and a white team. They would play a football game with touchdowns worth 6 points and field goals worth 3. This crap they do now is not a football game.

Bunch of sour Jethros. Wheeeeeeee doggies. What they now call the Orange and White game isn't a football game, no matter how you try to candy coat it. That said, if one wants to go then there is nothing wrong with it. Just don't try to convince me that it is a football game.

Rudedog should set up a tailgate since it is free parking. I would even go and drink a beer or three. I was trying to remember... I don't think that I've had an adult beverage for over a year now. Not because I have alcohol issues... I just haven't. So Rudedog, set up a tailgate for the O&W. I need a beer.

54 minute "game" with the clock running continously. Good thing that the tickets cost $0.00.
From Vol Colonel on tonybasilio.com today:
Real Quick on the Orange and White Game, in the 1st half they're going to have two 15 minute quarters with the clock running continuous and in the 2nd half you'll have two 12 minute quarters where the clock will keep ticking. It really is going to be more of an event than any type of scrimmage or real game.
We'll see a big dose of the circle of life drill and other tricks and treats. They'll give us some one on one drills. There will be some goal line stuff. They're going to have another VFL Flag Football game at halftime. It should be a fun time, heck, it always is. Let's cross our fingers and hope mother nature cuts us some slack. The forecast is calling for rain, but so what. That's what Orange Ponchos are for!

It is an "event". I wish they would do an actual game. You are still a sour Jethro.
