Watching this 30 for 30. Actually one of the weaker ones I've seen in awhile as far as the series goes.
Just really didn't offer much new or provide any different perspective.
Is was a reminder of how good they were on the field.
What is amazing is that freaking 2001 team! I have to say GOAT. 17 1st draft picks. 37 players drafted in total. 43 pro bowl appearances and counting. Bunch of them played on super bowl winners. Avg score was 43-9. Just sick. Add in a near miss at perfection in both 2000 & 2002 as a side note.

Tennessee would have given them all they wanted that year.
Not positive about this but I think that was Fulmers most talented team and he had several.
Yes Whore, I know Miami that year was in a different league. But I suspect it's closer than you think.

I stand by it. Great UT team. Horribly coached though.
As was Miami.

95 Nebraska was the greatest TEAM of all time. Miami in 01 was easily the greatest collection of players though. That Nebraska teams closest game was 14 points. And they beat a very elite fla team like a rented mule. Also the big 8 was top notch that year, 4 final top 10 teams.

A great Nebraska team. Not sure I'd put them ahead of 01 UM. Put your point about talent/team a good one. Talent not close. Team is easily argued both ways.
Given that it was Heisman weekend, the Nebraska team had the greatest college player to never win the Heisman, Tommie Frazier. (Regrets to your pizza tossing fella from New Orleans the stopped by Tennessee). Frazier was basically Black Tebow without the religious hang ups.

Crazy he didnt win that stupid award but seems it was Eddie George who got it that year and its not like that was a horrible selection.

I thought that Johnny Majors was the greatest college player to never win the HeismsnTrophy. Phil Fulmer is the second greatest to never win it.

UT finished 2nd in the coaches poll in 95, behind Nebraska. #3 in the AP behind Nebraska and UF. UT choked that 95 Florida game away and got blowed out.

Good point magnum. As good as UT was that year fla was a step better and Nebraska was lethal

That game caused why we are here to this day. For Manning too. 100% convinced of it.
