AreGay at the desk. Didn't get a chance to tell him to fck off.
I wonder if Reese was suspended for the first half. Played a lot of second half minutes, none in the first.
Good to see McGhee not get into foul trouble.
Punter needs to be an option on offense every game. Nobody else is stepping up to be a threat.
Owens is Skinny Reggie Johnson.
First half rebounding was why they were down nine at half.
Either Butler was way overrated or it was a bad matchup for them. Pressure wore them out. Only had one good ball handler. Interim coach seemed lost.
Blue III (Trip) made a pregame visit to 103. Smokey made a brief apprarsnce.
Less than half full. 8,000-9,000 maybe.

Is this a serious statement? Sentence 3 I mean. Serious as I can be. There is no way, AT ALL, he escapes this.

The Vols neutralized Jones's offense as well as anyone I've seen. Once they saw for themselves that it was a bad idea to let Dunham get set, Butler didn't have many options left. Barlow will usually hit some more of his open shots and has been quite productive for a former walk-on, but he pretty much ran out of gas against all the pressure.
Maybe most of the reason Butler's been rated so highly was because of what they did to (fake) UNC, but that's the kind of team they usually do well against -- a bunch of high-dollar recruits that don't take the Bulldogs seriously. Donnie didn't let that happen. He evidently realized Butler doesn't have much margin for error and took advantage of several of the weaknesses they do have.
I'm glad that's over.
BTW, was that the ghost of Jim Burr or is he still above the grass?

There is no way, AT ALL, he escapes this. Given the recent history of Tennessee sports, I would tend to agree with you in that's how it will likely turn out. History says so. That said, I am hoping for the best, however.

And I can recall more than 1 questionable no calls that did not go to TN's advantage. This the guy you referring to?

Refs let them play today. Didn't think they were too bad, but thought that there was a block by TN that could have been called a charge... not the one that Burr called and then slapped/pointed at the semi circle under the rim (that was kind of funny and I think he got that one correct).
There was a foul called with no contact that they blew.

I forgot his name, but that freshman they brought off of the bench was a good shooter too. The white guy wasn't nearly as accurate off the dribble as he was standing still.
They had a short bench. Unless they get a great NCAA draw I don't expect they'll go deep into the tourney.

Well as far as letting them play I guess I can kind of go along with that.
But I think I saw more than a couple of quick whistles against us defensively, no calls on traveling and other sloppiness...
Hey, a win is a win, and this will go down as a good one.

Too early to tell how deep they go in tourney.

Tyndall has these boys coached up. He's not making any excuses either about being short-handed or anything else. I get more and more impressed with Tyndall as a coach as each game goes by. Fans need to get behind this team. They play hard. They're going to give a lot of teams in the SEC fits.

Tyndall and staff are too sweet a match for Knox Tennessee to give them up without a deathfight.
