Sounds like Gramps has home boys in the Crips or Bloods. Yo, vegan homie. Suuuuuuuuuuuup? My "secondary firearms market" lives way too far out of the city for most people to even know it it exists. Those guys don't take kindly to anybody coming on their property that they don't know, and even if you know them more times than not they don't want you there.

Sounds like Gramps is tight with the Houston brothers. Very similar guys, Thunder. Very similar. But they have just about any firearm one would want to purchase.

So I finally got a chance to venture in to parts unknown to most men and visit with my well armed buddies this morning. After successfully passing through the strategically placed security checkpoints, I made it in and was welcomed to the bunker. My buddies, who will remain unnamed, showed me some incredible weapons - all legally obtained and still legal to own in this country, by the way.
They didn't have the Smith & Wesson 50 cal that I saw on the video, but they did have some really incredible firearms that I had the opportunity to fire today.
I fired the 50 cal handguns, and I have to say that they were incredible to shoot. The amount of firepower they have gave me an awesome rush of adrenaline. I have never felt so much empowerment in shooting a hand gun.
Also had the opportunity to fire several different AR and AK platform rifles, as well.
And one of the guys had just returned from a trip to the Caribbean, so we had the opportunity to enjoy some really fine cigars, as well. Can't say anything else about them, given that the embargo is still in effect. All I can say is that they were special.
All in all, just a terrific couple of hours spent doing what the second amendment still gives us the right to do in this country.

(I realize it was all legal except maybe the sourcing of cigars, but)
How much of the enjoyment of the experience was going to this out of the way "special" place with a little mystery & perceived secrecy about it vs. the actual shooting?
My guess is shooting the same guns down the street at the range just wouldn't be the same.

My guess is shooting the same guns down the street at the range just wouldn't be the same. It's like going to a buffet, 404. When you go to a buffet it's all yours to sample, all for one price. You can get what you want, and if you don't like it you can go back and get something else. Going to a range, you can rent different weapons and pay rental for each weapon, but you can't just pick one up and shoot it a few rounds and put it down, pick up another and shoot, and another, and another without racking up a huge bill. I had the opportunity to do that today that opportunity doesn't come along very often. And all it cost me was the gas to drive down there and back. And these guys aren't Houston Brothers types. They are both very successful and well respected professionals.
