1000% convinced.
If you come in here and defend kicking that FG it will be difficult for me to find the strength not to come and kick your ass.
Dime store hire, penny stock results.

But....
It's been proven you can still win with a boob coach.
Better hope the talent continues to pile up.

At LSU maybe where talent falls ass backward on to your team and you barely have to work for it.
Butch Jones will never, EVER even represent the East let alone win this league. No way, no how.

Cowboy, I was griping like crazy, about that field goal. To the point the people around me were probably getting aggravated with me.
We get so few chances to get in TD position, that we should have gone for that one there, without even thinking about it.
When we called that timeout, before the third down play, I was saying "You go ahead and call the 4th down play RIGHT NOW".
And to run AJ Johnson on that 3rd down, then kick the field goal, I was livid.
Then we came out after the half, and stopped them, and when we scored there, just imagine if we had scored that TD before that.
Good grief, I softened a little tonight, because of how Lyle really seems to care about his players, and he interacts with them and I see them playing hard for him.
But he seems clueless at times.

He just continues to play not to lose, close to the vest like every game is going to come down to a FG. Like he has equal talent to the other team.
Of course, if he would ever figure out how to manage a game maybe we would be in a FG game for once.
That's at least half a dozen times he's had a 4th and half a yard and punted every single time.
Looks hopeless to me. Unless he starts recruiting EVEN BETTER than he is now.

I'm not out on Butch just yet but I'm getting there. He is so stubborn. He is still relatively young though so maybe he can learn from his mistakes. I will agree that if he doesn't adapt a little that he isn't going to get it done. Maybe a QB that actually fits his system, like Dobbs, will make it possible for him to win here. Based on preseason, no one saw Dobbs being ready for him to do what he did against Bama. He is obviously a game and the reason he looked so much better that last year is that he knows the system now. He was just kinda thrown out there last year. Dobbs has the potential to be a very good SEC QB. But we will see how they adapt from here.

You are calling Butch young? Isn't he old enough to be your father?

Bad call going for that FG there. They were still down by 3 scores.

You are calling Butch young? Isn't he old enough to be your father? Butch would have been 13 when I was born. And the word "relatively" that I used is pretty important here. As far as head coaches go, 46 is relatively young. Especially when a lot of these guys coach into their late 60s and 70s.

I could have knocked a gal up at 13. Truth be told I wasn't getting much practice with viable prospects at the time though...
46 is not that young for a coach. How old were the last few Vols coaches at the time of hire?

Fulmer was 42 when he became head coach at UT.
Kiffin was 34. Dooley 43.
Looks like Butch is of average age.
