Hire Dooley back. He recruited most of the stars on defense.

Dooley also gets credit for guidance that prevented the team being wiped out with a staph infection outbreak. Also those trash cans are placed in exactly the right locations thanks to his vision.

At least he did something to earn that buyout money, unlike Phillip Fulmer, who didn't do a damned thing to earn his.

4-5 years of solid recruiting classes. And that ain't gonna happen if we keep changing coaches every 2-3 years.

If they can get some good offensive linemen in here as you say, look out. We don't need no coaching change again except maybe offensive line coach who can recruit.

Need to go to the Basilio archives and listen to Carter's offensive line call last night.

Bottom line is this. Need to give Jones at least 6 years. If for nothing more, stability purposes because...
1) does anyone think shart, ass cheek and our BOTs could hire a proven commodity? Didn't think so. Lyle is about as good as we can do. 2) he is a recruiting machine. Wish he'd hire an offensive guru and get TF out of the way. Just recruit and give speeches
That's in a perfect world.
I LOLOLOL at anyone who actually thinks our clown administration would hire anyone who could do better

Exactly. "Who are you going to get" really applies.
Missouri and USCe will be making coaching changes in the near future. Probably Georgia too. It will be interesting to see what Florida will do.
Actually Alabama and LSU will be making changes before long as well. At least one of the Mississippians will leave in a few months.
Getting rid of Butch will just create a complete cluster fu#k. As many OBVIOUS short comings we see, he's still eons better than the last two. He's an upgrade over Fulmer's second half of his career too. It would be great to get everything perfect, but that isn't going to happen,
Even Sumlin's chit is starting to stink.
Hate to say it, but brick by brick is true. TN must get off of life support before championships become a reality. TN needs to consistently be in the top three in the East before any championship can be a possibility..
Just got to hope that CBJ isn't oblivious to the problems (or in denial that they exist) and will do whatever it takes to correct them.
Unless Butch looses 8 or more or doesn't get to a bowl game this year and next, changing coaches shouldn't even be discussed.

If they can get some good offensive linemen in here as you say, look out. We don't need no coaching change again except maybe offensive line coach who can recruit. Ainge said on Swain this morning that Worley is a large part of the problem with the line. He said linemen need to know where the QB is gonna be, but Worley just isn't consistent in his drops. He thinks at this point JW is understandably gunshy and watching the rush instead of looking downfield, which makes matters even worse and leads to interceptions. Ainge said that if you set up in a consistent spot, you can tell the linemen that they only have to protect that one area, or words to that effect. They can let their man do anything else, just don't get beat there. He would also get rid of the football in two seconds. He said the QB needs to trust his guys to give him that much time and pay attention downfield.

He has to stay in the pocket and step up. Hope for the best. MUCH easier said than done though.
