The one thing I wanted to see this season was improvement, even with a bunch of freshmen playing. We have that. And with Worley missing almost a quarter, a bad OL, not being able to pressure the opposing QB, Tennessee still almost went to Athens and won that game. Tennessee football isn't back yet, but it's getting closer. This team needs to hold on to its commitments and add some more O-Linemen, a QB, and some depth at LB and Tennessee will be back.

And win 3 of 4 in a season against Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and Alabama... . Still available. But very daunting now.

Every game was winnable save for OU/Bama.
Today was very unlikely. And the fact it could have been won without hardly breaking a sweat but wasn't makes me very apprehensive about any game the rest of the season.

Yeah, I am encouraged. I felt all along like 6-6 would be a good year, given the youth and schedule. Still hoping to see that, but even if we don't this team plays hard for 60 minutes and thus far it seems to be doing things right both on and off the field.
A win next week would do wonders for the program.

This team looks like some of Majors' teams of the early 80s. We lost some hard-fought games, against some good teams in those days.
Those teams might have had more talent than these though.

I think they beat Florida and one, maybe two, games they're not supposed to win as long as there are no key injuries.

Like that loss to Army? I was thinking more like 1980 when we hung with eventual national champ UGA and lost on a last second field goal to USC. Then whipped the dog piss out of Auburn. Then got spanked again by Bama for the 9th straight year and then got whipped by Pitt. WE are still a couple years away from being able to count too many games as wins.
