AJ Johnson is the heart and soul of v118. He looked like Al Wilson last night. If he gets hurt TN is toast.

Matured and more knowledgeable about the workings of our defense, he is no doubt THE LEADER of the 2014 Vols and the mentor for all the young players on both sides of the ball.

I made fun of AJ when he declared that he was returning for his senior season. If he plays the ret of them like he did last nght I was way out of line.
Big difference... AJ is the best player on a 6-6 team. Al was the best player on a National Champion.

But the best player on the defense anyway is pretty easily Cameron Sutton. He will make Pro Bowls barring injury.

Yep. Missed two full games didn't he? At least 2. He and Billy Rattliff both willed their ways through that year. With all of the injuries they had to deal with neither should have ever been able to finish the season.

I hated to hear that Farragut kid is lost for the season. I wish we had a 5 star over there at left tackle, but you've got to love the walk-on 5th year story. Life's cruel sometimes. Working that long and hard, he deserved better.
