USU wideouts had an off night. Their QB had a laser rocket arm, but his running wasn't Heisman worthy tonight.
TN's O-Line can hopefully improve because Worley didn't have enough time on the deep passes and the runs between the tackles were ineffective. Second quarter was really bad. Glad TN gets the win. Odds of a winning season have increased considerably. I can't handle five losing seasons in a row. Arkansas State is a must win.

That laser rocket arm looked a lot more like a Peterman arm when he air balled that one throw. I think the ACL does a number on the head as well as the leg. He'll probably get back in time, but he didn't impress me much.

Basilio said that he wished that the first two games were flip flopped and USU was the second game. Good thing that wasn't the case as it turned out to be a good thing catching a very rusty Chuckie in his first game back.
TN O-Line better get those mistakes corrected. Alabama would have won this one about like Fulton stomping Bearden or Powell. TN should have been up about 31-0 at the half. The rest of TN's team looked very well coached and the OC and DC both called very good games. USU was way over hyped however.
Another positive for TN was that when Worley missed on the deep throws he was overthrowing his receivers instead of underthrowing then. He didn't have nearly enough time on the slow developing plays.
Having weapons at tight end makes that offense much more effective. Last year the QB tucking and taking off seemed like it was a primary option. last night it looked more like an occasional called play to keep the defense honest. Even with the poor effort by the O-Line it was much more fun to watch than any game last year.
