At one time they had IMO the best look in College Football. At least top tier. Here's the abomination: Attachments:

This will be inconsistent from how I responded on Twitter but I dont think they are terrible. They did have a good look but of the alterations with other teams this is far and away not close to the worst. My objection is philosophical with pretty much any school changing at all if they have even the slightest sliver of tradition. If a generic school was started today and named itself UCLA with those football uniforms, I think I would say--That is bad ass.
My barometer is always would the Yankees/Celtics/Cowboys/USC/Alabama completely change their look? No.

They look queer and unoriginal.
There is nothing wrong with what they had.
I hate turning on games now and you have to look at the score to see what teams are playing. Everyone is the same colors now. It's either black, gray, or some carbon queer chit.
Wear your damn colors. Be proud.
Whatever, no one cares...

That point--not knowing who you are watching at first glance--is by far the biggest impediment it seems to me. Seems that's lesson #1 in marketing and branding. Familiarity is everything as McDonalds and Coke can very well tell you.

This is one of the things that's starting to annoying me about college football. On any given week, you can't tell who some of the teams are because they wear something different than their normal look or something completely stupid.

Hey guys, I have a great idea. Let's take something timeless and really good and make it super duper crappy. That way the stupid kids will be excited. For five minutes.

My biggest argument with UT wearing that stupid gray stuff this past year is, when you see that Tennessee Orange, there is only ONE team that wears that, and you know IMMEDIATELY who is playing.
It is in basketball too. I watched a game this year, and thought for about 5 minutes, it was Oregon State against Oregon and it was Oklahoma State against Baylor.

I like the gray a little. Too many Adidas teams have the same but a little different. I would like it if we were the only team with the gray. I kinda liked the black and orange holloweeen jerseys lol

Well get ready for it again. Said on the news last night that they will where the gray again and haven't ruled out something else.Believe it or not, I agree with you sonny!

Football has turned gay. Is this football or a Broadway show? Guys that played in the 60s and 70s are either laughing their asses off or spinning in their graves.

It's all Billy Johnson's fault. He shouldn't have ever put on those shoes.
