I have give up on any sports talk radio, except for Tony.
That is when Tony lets the callers call and talk.
during the early 90s, sports talk radio, in the evenings was the first way we heard that day's sports news.
Now we know it instantly. The news and notes stuff, and just reading the newspaper is not going to cut it for much longer.

A woman caller or host is another way to get me to click away.

3 things that make me change the dial. doc, jeff and heather My wife listens to them somewhat regularly. When she brings them up in conversation she calls them "the three brain cells" in deference to my informing her they have about 1 brain cell each.

He'd come on with the practice report and that was the breaking news. Nowadays the QB sprains a thumb in practice and my phone is beeping 30 seconds later.

I remember when Thursday was Sports Illustrated day. Everyone knew to leave me alone until I had finished it cover to cover.
Later on, as traditional media began to lose its grip, SI moved up the delivery date to Wednesday. Whether that mattered either way, I knew I didn't enjoy the articles like I used to. I still take it but only because Christian likes to see the covers and the preview editions. But he had never bothered with reading it much as I did at that age.
This past year I let both my Golf and GolfDigest expire. For me, I can't say whether it is the immediacy of information or whether my attention span has been shot to hell.

Cowboy, I was the exact same way. S.I. came in the mail, I had it read before, every word, before I was asleep that night.
I MIGHT look at that magazine now at the doctor's office or barber.

Combination of both, most likely.
Heavily weighted toward the attention span aspect, of course.
