JMSheep named the UT starting five and I like it.
G Lofton G Houston F Ellis F Grunfeld C King
For this purpose we will try to identify the 5 best players regardless of position although at least trying to have a legitimate frontcourt/backcourt separation.
We will go roughly alphabetical. Alabama on deck.

Alabama
G James Robinson G Latrell Spreewell F Reggie King F Robert Horry C Derrick McKey
Other candidates:
Buck Johnson Bobby Lee Hurt TR Dunn Moe Williams Gerald Wallace Antonio McDyess Keith Askins *Edit from Thunder: Ennis Whatley.
A lot of great players but I think UT is a little better. Would be interested in KozSheep's opinion.

Arkansas
Very, very tough.
G Sidney Moncrief G Alvin Robertson F Todd Day F Corliss Williamson C Joe Kleine
Don't know if UT beats that team or not. They would be hellacious on defense.
Just missed:
Corey Beck Scotty Thurman Lee Mayberry Scott Hastings Oliver Miller

Auburn
G Eddie Johnson G Chuck Person F Mike Mitchell F Chris Porter C Charles Barkley
Decent team, elevated by Barkley.
Not many Auburn cant misses come to mind and the Internet isn't exactly chok full of Auburn basketball history.
Wesley Person probably starts over Porter. Chris Morris was a great player also.

Florida
G Vernon Maxwell G Jason Williams F Joakim Noah F Al Horford C Dwayne Schintzius (Assume he's healthy)
Just missed:
Lawrence Moten Udonis Haslem Corey Brewer Mike Miller David Lee Matt Bonner
Only UK will surpass their depth I suspect.

Georgia
Did this for 404Sheep a week ago. The easiest by far. You cant get past about 7 that are worth mentioning.
G Vern Fleming G Litterial Green F Dominique Wilkins F Shandon Anderson C Alec Kessler
Notables--Sundiata Gaines, Jumaine Jones
UT would be favored by 107 in this game.

Their roster is guard heavy for sure.

It would be hard to not put Porter in their starting 5, even though he was a Juco. They were the #1 seed in 1999 when they had that Region final in Knoxville. Scoonie Penn and Michael Redd and that Ohio State bunch put them out in the Region semifinal before going on to beat Artest and St Johns. I remember that game because I had bought my wife's engagement ring that day. Yeah, 15 years ago I had money to buy an engagement ring AND NCAA region final tickets in the same day.

Kentucky
Too bad Marsh isn't around because I have no idea. Lotta choices thats for sure.
G Rex Chapman G Kenny Walker (WAYYYY out of position) F Dan Issel F Jamal Mashburn C Sam Bowie
There are probably 3 dozen more. Heres a few that come to mind:
Kevin Greavy Jack Givens Tony Delk Melvin Turpin Kyle Macy Winston Bennett
Definitely the deepest. 5 on 5 though, UT could handle this team.

LSU
G Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf (FKA, Magnum) G Pete Maravich F Bob Petit F Stanley Roberts C Shaquille O'Neal
Just missed:
Rudy Macklin Howard Carter Glen Davis John Williams Brandon Bass
This is the best team for my money. Dont see how UT could handle them inside. Especially true if you switch either Macklin, Williams, or Davis for Petit.
How hilarious is it that Dale Brown couldnt take 3 of those 5 to a Final Four but did with Ricky Blanton.

Wade's son and that team played one of, if not the, best games in TBA history against that team of CJ, Roberts and Shaq. That LSU team played THE best game I have ever seen in person, in TBA later that year against the GA Tech and Lethal Weapon 3 team that went to the Final Four. That was a second round game. You can watch the whole thing on You Tube. TEDDY Valentine reffed that game.
