IDK how we won that but I'll take it.
Man, Arkansas sucks on the road.

i kept thinking we were going to find a way to lose. there still seems to be NO plan to close out games.
that 8 pt arky lead was worrisome. but good job to the orange for holding on for the W.
Jordan made sure a UT win.
both teams had some plays that rank as some of the dumbest basketball Ive ever seen.

Defense late was the difference.
Way too many turnovers because TN was lazy with the ball. They would break the press and then get the ball slapped out of their hands when they were lazy getting into an offensive set instead of attacking the hoop.
There was one play in the second half whe Arkansas missed a free throw,Tn boxed out perfectly, but then nobody grabbed the ball. It bounced two or three times and Arkansas slipped around the screen-out and grabbed the loose ball.
McRae played like it was the Rocky Top League. Started out 2 for 8, but kept pn shooting and the ball started to go in. He had a critical turnovr late with a precarious lead, but made up for it with a steal or grabbing a loose ball or two with a minute or two to go. If McRae hadn't gotten hot, TN would have been blown out.
Not an exciting win, kind of stole it, and Arkansas couldn't buy a basket late. Stokes didn't impress. However the result goes into the left hand columm.
They better be more focused next Wednesday (at EIGHT o'clock JM !!!) because Marshall Henderson will not be that inept offensively down the stretch.

A least we learned that the Hogs are even better at losing games like this than the Vols are.
We poached some seats in 103 and had Hatfield sitting behind us. It was like listening to a color man without having to turn on a radio.

On the Basilio post game a caller said that Arkansas was jobbed by the intentional foul by #20 that lead to the 5 point possession. Basilio disagreed... Said it was an intentional foul 10 times out of 10. I completely agree. From my perspective in the corner behind the visitor's bench it was obvious... Maymon was tackled by the guy... I was yelling for the intentional call even before the ref. Arkansas coach worked the refs like it was a bad call, but he had the same angle as me. He knew that the call was correct.

It would be nice to steal one Saturday and then hold serve for a few weeks.

Heck, we stole one last night.
Good thing is we are now 2-0 vs other league "bubble" teams.

As far as having no plan, Cuonzo confirmed this was pretty much true. Said he was letting them play, Letting Jordan do his own thing and create.

For all the talk about Arkansas and their 40 minutes of hell and Anderson being a Richardson protege, they really don't press that much. I watched the first half of the VCU-Dayton game and VCU pressed more in the first half than Arkansas did the whole game against UT.

I say more Armani Moore! That kid brings great energy and is always around the ball. 4 blocks!
I will take the win but it was ugly ugly ugly. They seemed to move the ball around better when Stokes was out and got it to Maymon more. Maymon had a good game.
With 4 minutes left, I thought we were toast but they pulled it out. That intentional foul was correct. I also said so before the ref did.

"@danielnooga: Martin said he...stopped calling plays down the stretch "Just open it up & play." The less he coaches the better they play.

Whichever SEC teams finish 3rd, 4th, and maybe even 5th I would consider bubble teams depending on the rest of the country and the SEC Tournament results.
