Section one oh something pregame, 119 at the half? I would really rather watch college football instead... end of GA Aub anyways.
Ty Green was on McRae's Rocky Top League team about 3 years ago. I doubt that McRae ever passed him the ball. I wouldn't mind seeing TG light it up from outside the arc... and have USCeU come up short.

I am the missing person. I am in Peoria, Illinois today for my wife's grandfather's funeral.
First UT sporting event, I have looked forward to, this far in advance, in a long time. But I had to miss seeing my boy Ty Greene play in the TBA.
I am like you Thunder. I know you know Ty's dad. I hope Ty has a career night, and UT win.
They beat VPI in Blacksburg last Saturday night.
The last A-Sun team to come into TBA beat us.

This was posted on VolQuest after the game….
"Played in the most surreal game of my life tonight.
A lot of you can guess who I am but I came and played in my hometown tonight against the program I grew up dreaming of playing for.
I have been apart of Volquest for about 5 or 6 years and get on about 5 times a day LOL. I played in 3 state tournaments and I state championship game and this game was the most nervous I have ever been to play.
I am a die hard vol fan. I was that kid who would cry his eyes out every time UT lost in basketball or football. I have seen around 200 basketballs games in TBA and countless football games. It was a big deal for me to play on the court, I bleed Green but I also bleed Orange. I DVR every football game. It was engrained in my from a very very young age that Tennessee is the best of the best.
It was a joy to play on the same court as so many great players. Chris Lofton is my favorite athlete of all time and I and watched him hit so many big shots. I found myself trying to soak in the experience as much as possible. The weirdest thing was when Rocky Top played and I couldn't sing along (I'm not a WOOO guy for the record).
It was a great game and we came up a little short. We earned a lot of respect from Vol fans tonight. Most of you were very encouraging after the game. And it means a lot to me.
From a fellow Vol for life. I just wanted to say tonight was a night I will never forget.
Go Vols."

I tell you what, I hope that post is legit because it is freaking awesome. I seriously to this day wonder what it's like to be in his shoes. Just imagine being good. REALLY good and with a shot to play at UT when you were a kid.
But not quite being good enough. In another thread, we talked about born shooters and kids who worked their ass off. My guess is this young man was a little of both.
To be SO close but deemed not good enough is only suitable for the resilient young.
To quote a movie, "My friends, you bow to NO ONE."

He looks like he's gotten a little bigger in the last 2 years. Certainly is a hard worker. He has gotten better in the last couple of years. A lot of the TN guys aren't any better after a few years here.

Tonight, it looked like to me that Green could have played for the Vols. He is certainly better than McBee. Very smart and pretty dang good shooter.
I will be there Monday, Thunder.
Maymon and Stokes looked a lot better. I really like Barton. He is an upgrade over Golden although I saw where Golden scored 18 for Ga. Tech Friday night against Ga.

A lot of the TN guys aren't any better after a few years here. On your last statement, Stokes is the first name that comes to mind there. His body has changed, but he's not any better as a basketball player than he was in that first game of what should have been his senior year of high school. Still think he needs to play defensive end. He would have a lot better chance of making it in the NFL than in the NBA.

Cowboy & DC can vouch for this. I've been saying Stokes is playing the wrong sport before UT could find him Orange shoes that fit.
He's not a basketball player.
