It's not so much that I think we'll win, even though (slightly) stranger things have occurred, it's more that I don't want to worry about a loss until it actually happens. Great post. That's my issue with a ton of uniformed sheep - mainly the facebook & twitter types. And I'm not talking about anybody here. All of us here HOPE to win every game, but understand that's not realistic. So why in the world do these folks get themselves so convinced a game is gonna be won? Then they have a huge meltdown and give the usual not a true fan response, name another coach that could do what Butch is doing, etc if there's a loss. MP was spot on and went on Basilio pointing out actual problems with the Oregon game plan. The plan wasn't good. But by golly he's a horrible fan in a ton of minds for bothering to question it. It's mind blowing. And it happens every single time.

Yeah Mauler, these folks that are throwing out things like 7-5 are really just doing it on blind faith, hoping they will be right so they can tell everybody "I told you it would happen"
I just can't take these people carrying on like we are going to win anything this year. I am in no way saying Lyle Jones deserves to be fired. But, he ain't going to win the SEC.
The idiots that said we could win the East, are pure bred idiots.
If the man gets us to 6-6 and we go to that bowl game at Legion Field, I think it is a success.

Nothing wrong with faith, now is there?
Season starts for real this Saturday down in Gainesville, boys.

Well no, but the Brand Davidians also thought the same.

Nothing wrong with faith, now is there? THe book of Hebrews says, "Faith, is the substance of things hoped for. The evidence of things not seen. " I've seen all I need to see, and that we are going to get drilled. There is no evidence of the things hoped for with the Vols.

We got us a competent coach who can lead us out of the mire.
One who fully comprehends where the football program has been, where it is (specifically in relation to its' competition), and where he thinks it ought to be, which is where he intends to take it.
Relax, but stay engaged. Deny Panic.
We got the right guy here.
Forward.

If you watched the game Saturday you saw a guy who was improbably and stupendously clueless as to where we are now.
I hope he is a quick study though a chimpanzee would have learned that lesson.

After the first Vol TD someone--not sure if it was the announcers or someone on Twitter--asked about whether you go onside kick.
That is EXACTLY what they should have done.

I'm scratching my head as to why CBS chose this game. Barn @ LSU is more interesting at this point

Koz, I bet because very few Vol fans will make the trip to the Shit Hole. I mean Swamp.
Lots of TV viewers.
Also, probably a lot of betting action on this game, which means viewers.
That and they want to get UT and Lyle Jones on there before the season falls apart.

You could counter each of those points and prob exceed with the other game, Mag.
Maybe CBS chose this game early

"I told you it would happen" Can't wait for when I get to say that after the season But, he ain't going to win the SEC. Why not?The idiots that said we could win the East, are pure bred idiots. I thought you were a friend. Did you not think I would see this? I am NOT a pure bred idiot. If the man gets us to 6-6 and we go to that bowl game at Legion Field, I think it is a success. I think 6-6 would be a huge failure and we need to fire Butch and throw a little more money at Gruden this time.

What's so compelling about Auburn at LSU? Looks like the same game to me.
