He missed a ton of open receivers, some of which would have been 1st downs. First down were precious today. He just seems to have trouble throwing the ball at a high level..

The receiver weapons he does have, he just is unable to deliver the freaking ball to them.
Weak arm, and he plays slow.
Time after time throws behind, below, beneath, over...never seen any Tennessee quarterback need so much out of his supporting cast.
I'm no student of the game, but it just looks to me as though his woes stem from his inability to interpret the speed of what he sees combined with a lack of physical arm strength. Hey, blend that with inability to see the field, poor decision making, and lack of athletic ability...
He is awful.

With a running game he would be more effective. He's still learning. He's better at not forcing throws that aren't there.
He's not a runner and this offense would work better with a running QB. That said, he must be much better with the rest of what a QB does than the other 3. He's the least mobile of the 4 and Butch picked him as the starter.
Lay off of the kid. There are bigger problems than this QB being off target on several throws. There aren't many Mannings, Favres, Montanas, or Staubauchs in college football. They all don't have pinpoint accuracy.
Save it for after Florida. Not going to break in a new starter this week.

I'll say this. Worley didnt have as bad a game as Jones did. I am still astounded he punted that ball on 4th and 1 in the first quarter. To that point, things couldn't have went much better. The running game was working. You simply cannot give Oregon the ball anytime unless absolutely forced to do so.
It was a big give up. I wouldn't think much about this game at all had that not happened.
Butch Jones ain't winning jack shit at Tennessee. No way, no how.

Even if Peyton was taking the snaps today the Ducks would have still kicked TN's ass.

I agree.
If Butch was coaching that is for sure.

When the game isn't out of hand you have to play the odds. If he had gone for it and not made it the same critics would be saying he was an idiot for going for it on 4th down.
It's in the rearview mirror. Time for the Gayturds.

Wrong. You can't go in there playing a conventional game as if you have an equal chance to win. You play with nothing to lose. And on 4th and a fucking foot you lean on that vaunted O Line (which was mauling them at that point)and try to make something happen.
Florida will play their best game of the year and kick our ass just like always.

I'm not going to bash the kid. If he doesn't step it up at Florida I might put on a Jethro hat.
He responded very well in the second half against WKU. The opening drive of the 3rd quarter was better managed than anything around here in years. Bray had difficulty finishing the deal.
