Neyland's winning percentage was 6 or 7 points higher than Bear Bryant's. Neyland wore a better fedora. Neyland owned Bryant. Neyland took time away from football to serve his country. Neyland didn't cheat. Case closed. The wool has distorted your vision

Saban has won 4 NCs in a far more difficult era than even Bryant. I don't agree at all. Saban has developed some sort of cult of personality as it relates to recruiting. He has the best players so he wins. Now, even Fulmer had that advantage for a little while and did little with it so I'm not here to suggest Saban can't coach. I think you will find the few times the opposing team has athletes to compete and games are close he makes his share of Dumbassery. To just throw out there that Saban is clearly the better of Neyland or even Bryant as if its fact is the height of myopic.

I'm really not sure if Bryant (or Neyland for that matter) ever lost to Podunk Tech at home either.
Perhaps, but Im not aware if it.

Cowboy you are less objective than Rudedog.
Discussing anything with you involving Tennessee athletics is a waste of time.

24-0.
How many games have you seen Neyland coach? I'm guessing ZERO. Im sure he had his share of dumb decisions. (as did Bryant)
Whole picture points to Saban

Neyland pretty much made all of the decisions before the games kicked off. No adjustments required... just go out there and do what you were told to do when you were preparing for this game. I even heard that he had an easy chair to sit in during the games. I wonder if he had a cold beer too.

Right. 24-0. Even more EMBARASSING.
You can't even compare the two. Neyland only got to coach white football. It's a specious argument.

You mean right after he had won 2 NCs just before leaving football to tend to other things for a couple of years... ?
