Sterling's pregame efforts must have had an impact. He pretty much danced nonstop for two hours. BTW, the headphones will be available in time for your Christmas shopping.

AP was so, so bad it was hard to learn anything.
I left at half. Did see some obvious stuff. Better discipline, no penalties, no turnovers. Secondary is going to be trouble but everyone at least knew where to line up. McCullers actually looks like a different human being. They have been in the weight room.

Tebow would thrive in this offense. QBs were making great fakes handing off the ball (or not).... obviously something that they work on a lot. Worley would frequently roll around the edge with the tailback beside him and the ball held in the TB's gut. Then if the QB didn't fake completing the hand off and take off for a good gain, he was frequently the lead blocker for the TB. Worley was almost playing like a fullback. I don't know if they will have a whole lot of success with this scheme when the opponent is better than Fulton High School.

Numbers on the shoulders. The uniforms looked good.

TN held their defense on the sidelines at every change of possession (and time out) until the official is about the blow the whistle. It backfired once tonight. Oregon will make them pay dearly if the pull that chit against their offense.

Butch signage to the extreme. PUNT TEAM. KICKING TEAM. A bunch others. One had a bunch of pictures. Looked pretty hokie, but if it keeps them from running out 15 players ala LSU... then I'm okay with it.

I love it that Butch took out most of the starters after the first half. A lot of young kids saw plenty of action. They will be ready to play when needed. Previous coaches would have played the starting QB through three quarters at least.

Ended up watching this game at Tackett's in Fox Den. Felt like a carp in a fish bowl.
Enjoyed the game, though. Vols looked as prepared as possible against that team. Next week will tell us a lot.
