It was and I was underwhelmed. He's white. You were underwhelmed? Damn, Cowboy - what does a kid have to do to impress you? And if you want to be fair and use the same standard that the lame stream media used with George Zimmerman, then Hurd is a white black man, just like President Obama is.

I'm just joking.
BTW--who was the kid from Memphis who had like 800 yards against Maryville in the final?

Ill believe it when I see it. You need four straight years of classes like Ole Miss got just to be on the same level as Bama and LSU.
I don't see it happening.

A friend said he ran a kickoff back for a TD. It was Josh Malone for Station Camp who ran a kickoff back 80 yards for a TD. Malone is the #3 ranked recruit in the state and is still uncommitted. UT is still in the mix with him. The Hurd vs. Malone angle was the reason ESPN2 wanted that game. My friend lied to me then.

I saw all I needed to see of Hurd in the state title game last year. I had no idea who the kid was, and me and my son were watching that title game, because it is the same classification West is in.
So we watched a little, and the kid scored every time he touched the ball, or close to it.
I don't care if you are in the 5A title game, or in the 1A title game, if you score 7 TDs you are something special. It had nothing to do with the competition he was playing. He is just a football player, if there ever was one. I don't know where he will play to start, but he could play anywhere and be a star.

His first touch of the game/season was a 52 yard TD. I think he's the real deal. And he loves UT. It's definitely a too good to be true situation.

He will have my boy Zach Stewart blocking for him his second year here. Or maybe Z playing in front of him on the defensive side.
But I like that we have gotten on the in state prospects early. I think worst case, he plays linebacker.
We've done well with in state running backs coming here to play linebacker.
